Hi,well today we had our east end excursion .. so here are a few impressions IMHO ..
first stop - Lucky's Aquarium attached to the Pacific Mall.
Lucky's is a farily large store and was pretty interesting, good diversity of fish, tanks in good condition, staff available and helpful-
Final thoughts - would go again
Frank's- small one man shop. Not that many tanks, many were empty and some were looking like they needed a little more tlc. Lots of bettas. I assume it was Frank who was there.. he was helpful and informative with the people who were there.
I have a sense that he probably has a greater emphasis on bringing in and supplying specific fish for people.
Final thoughts - a hard working guy, but not enough selection for my personal browsing needs , wouldnt likely go again
Finatics - small shop but with many tanks, all in excellent condition, focus is on African Cichlids. The man who I think was the owner was very helpful, informative but not pushy.
Final thoughts - small shop but was a big treat, would definately go back there again
Golden ocean- not sure that it still exists by that name..besides after that much trekking around the city we were ready to get back home.
Next excursion .. I hear there is a new place on the Queensway
