There are several waterproof cameras available (that don't require a 2nd mortgage to purchase).

The ones that immediately come to mind are the Olympus Stylus Tough 6000 ($299.95) and 8000 ($379.95). There is also the Canon Powershot D10 ($369.95)

If you have an SLR camera, there are waterproof housings available for significantly more money than just purchasing one of the point-and-shoots listed above.

HI Udo,

If you have an SLR digital - Vistek is selling an underwater housing for about $125 currently, maybe of interest to you.

Thanks

John

PS how come you weren't at the X-mas party ?
Thanks
John

Well I don't recommend the Olympus 6000, almost impossible to get close ups that are in focus under water. I will be returning it and trading it in for a D-10
